Smiling ProudlyAs I look out my window,I think about how life with Andy used to be.I imagine the family snuggling,Close together, warm by the glowing fire.Smiling at each other proudly. As I look out my windowI picture the happy smiles,The memories we had made. From taking meTo my first concertTo helping me with schoolI remember how you wouldSmile at me proudly. As I look out my window,I get a warm feeling inside.I get up and go in my car.I drive to a place I know well.I set a note and flowers on the ground,Next to a gray stone slab.I look down at it, holding my guitar,Playing the chords you taught meremembering all the happy times. And so I smile proudly.
